About Us

Hamburger Transport Ltd was started after Rhys Hamburger had been in the transport industry as a contract driver for over 10yrs. Rhys had a new baby and was not happy with the fact that he never saw her with the 15 hour days. So Hamburger Transport Ltd was born, with a truck purchased and a licence obtained, Rhys set out with no customers to start from scratch. Rhys had a strong customer focus with the ambition of being good to deal with. That is still the focus at Hamburger and now 9 vehicles and 10yrs later we are one of Christchurch’s largest metro fleets. Delivering all manner and types of freight around greater Christchurch.

Management

Rhys Hamburger – Managing Director

Rhys is the owner of the company and has over 20 years experience in the transport industry mainly as a contract driver with different companies. Rhys has a fantastic knowledge of Christchurch and has set up a fast moving operation to keep freight moving on a daily basis.

Chris Peters – Operations Manager

Chris has been with Hamburger Transport straight from high school, and has a great knowledge of the business and its customers, Chris runs the day to day operation of the business dispatching jobs and taking phone calls. Chris has a great repour with our regulars and can get your job done.

Fraser Neale – Fleet Manager

Fraser has been in the transport industry from when he left school and has had varying roles from depot work to being a contract driver. Fraser assists Chris on the phone and with day to day operations and keeping tabs on the fleet maintenance. Fraser brings a vast freight knowledge to Hamburger Transport.
